![]() Hi has anyone building with mx5 engine seen/used the conversion to the cooling system that Mike the king of Miata's on you tube shows, I saw this a while ago and it looked a good idea.
You move the thermostat and sender unit to the rear of the engine and the blanking plate from the rear to the front, it makes a better circulation. Anyone got any thoughts?. Mick. |

![]() You mean a coolant reroute?
Loads of (mostly tuned) MX-5s have had this done to improve cooling on the number 4 cylinder. There were a few group buys on MX5Nutz (which I linked to on here when those group buys were live) where you could buy a reroute spacer and a blanking plate. Unless you were going to tune the engine or do lots of track days, it might be one of those things tha's nice to have but not essential.
