Default type 9 gerbox + diff info

Looking for a bit of info regarding the type 9 gearboxes + diffs.
Engine will be 2.0 zetec

Basically what setup is best regarding gearbox and diff ratios and is there a way of identifying the ratios.
Are all gearboxes the same if it be from a 1.6 or V6? If not what would be the best option?
Same question for diffs really, are they all same fitment and what ratios are available and best option for roadster.

Just want to make sure I know what im looking for

I believe the v6 has better ratios but you need the correct bell housing to go the engine. To be honest a normal ratio box is just fine. 1st is short but its only used briefly anyway. As for a diff, bigger ratio gives better acceleration at expense of top speed.

Just get your cat built. You can swap parts later, once its on the road and you have an idea how your car drives and how you'd like to change it.

I see, so its just the bell housing that would be different. Was expecting the v6 to be completely different.
I think I would prefer better acceleration so will keep a look out for a high ratio diff.
