like adrian said really. the only real things that cause an issue are the track rod lock nuts, ball joint lock nuts and the bottom of the headlight mounts. luckily the sphere didnt fit through the other components to touch the shock absorber.

adrian what did you do to cover your harness brackets the rubber trim i glued round mine was deemed un acceptable.

Could you do a demonstration Ash ( video ) of what the tester did..

Are say for example the corners at the bottom of the headlamp round tube not an issue?

And from what you say, the sphere has to pass into Areas ( shock area ) if the can, so a grill is required to prevent issues with edges inside the nose??

Ash............

i,ve got 2 pairs of mirrors if you want to "borrow" them ?
1 of the pairs are from a Honda VFR 750 bike , others not sure of origin but are similar to the VFR ones.

let me know if you want to use them & i can post them off to you tomorrow.

cheers
andy

the problem is i have r1 mirrors which are plenty big enough he just couldn't get them in a spot where he could see everything he wanted to. i think the only way out of it is either a convex mirror like the tester advised i should fit or a waking great big pair of mirrors to be sure of a pass.

im going to call yamaha monday morning hopefully they will keep convex mirrors for my unit or can tell me where to get one.

i don't really want to fit new mirrors if i can avoid it as it will mean drilling more holes in the scuttle and i may not be able to cover up the old ones which would ruin it.
