QH maxi ball joint part number
Does anyone have the Quinton Hazell part number of the Austin Maxi balljoints used to attach the lower point of the Sierra upright to the lower front wishbones please?
I certainly bought mine from a cheap internet website when I built the car, and the rubber boot is already completely cracked and will not pass MOT. I think Quinton Hazell quality is quite good, am I right ? And I can order Quinton Hazell parts from my job in France, so it is the easy way. But if some of you guys know where to buy good quality Austin Maxi balljoints that haven't been stored for decades with dry rubber boot, I'm interested. Thank you.

I didn't know about buying the boots only. So I just ordered some on ebay, but I keep the QH number preciously in case they are rubbish and not rubber Thanks a lot!

Mine did that and had to be changed, I've kept them as spares and will find some rubbers if needed.

I originally bought mine from rally design (uk) and the boots failed before I had finished building the car (about 2 years). They had never even seen daylight. They did replace them.

Delphi TC32 might be a reference number that is easier to find.

How did you get on replacing them? I have the same job to do soon as mine are also cracked after 6+ years sitting in a garage!

Boot replacement is an easy and very common job done on many cars around MOT time. I have a box of mixed sizes that I bought some time ago and usually find one to fit - and yes both my track rod end boots failed before IVA and had to be replaced

I’ve also recently replaced the tre boots for the cars mot. A squirt of new grease(from a gun), I found turning the boots back on them self (inside out) a lot easier. Then put the spring clips on.
