Dvla local office closures !
According to dvla, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, as of the end of December, all local dvla offices are to close, meaning that everything has got to be done by post to dvla Swansea. What a joke ! This is going to delay the paperwork side of car ownership dramatically. Swansea have just taken 12 weeks to refund a car tax disc that was sent in by special delivery for a refund. If you need anything doing, don't delay , get it done before the offices close, and save yourself a lot of frustration.

I'm not convinced as my reg application has been delayed by the Cardiff office as they would not take my first registration fee - handed over the counter 3 times and even showed them the email from Swansea saying I needed to pay it but still would not take the cheque. 2 weeks later get a letter from Swansea asking for first registration fee
At least if everything goes throug Swansea things should get a bit more standardised. I think at the end of the day you just have to accept that the IVA and DVLA are slow processes. It took me 12 weeks from submitting my IVA forms to actually havng the test, and that was the earliest date they could do!

I have just come to the conclusion that we live in a society against kit cars ! (SAKC). Lol. Top of the list ? My wife. apparently I will be married to this piece of crap soon, so I told her that kit cars are like garlic bread, it's the future ! Lol. . One really good thing that has come out of building a haynes roadster, is that before I started the build, I was a that looks about right kinda chap, then mid way through the build, I have turned into a perfectionist, with an OCD about a tape measure. Merry Christmas gentleman, have a good one !

Could be worse you could have to deal with the CAA (campaign against aviation).
Spend a few hours frock touching and nodding your head saying "yes dear" with the other half it might calm the storm. And before there are any remarks, these trousers are mine and they would not fit her anyway,Me 6 ft 2 She 5ft 2 .
