mx5 OE pedals Vs fab'ed box?
Has any body tried using the pedals that come with mx5 as standard? What are people thoughts on having hanging pedals that could be made adjustable for height and reach unlike the fabricated floor mounted box? I'll have to check the IVA book of depression but can any body see a problem with cutting/bending the pedals to get a better placement, obviously weld quality could be an issue but if a brace plate was added down the back?

I'm using the MX5 pedals without any alterations apart from the loud pedal pad which I have straightened, I'm also using the servo I have been able to get the steering column through the normal place with a fabricated cover over the uj because this is close to the brake pedal.
Caterham use top hung pedals in there road cars and floor mounted in there race cars so I can't see a problem with top hung for IVA. |
