Default 24V V6 Mazda engine

I have inhertited a 24v 2.5 V6 Mazda engine out of a ford probe!! Transverse FWD obviously!! Does anyone one know if there is anyway i can get it to mate with a gearbox that will fit for our purposes?????

Seems a shame to have such a a nice engine for free and not use it???!!!

i think if you get the adapted bellhousing to fit a type 9 to a new type duratec it will do the job. dont take my word on that as i havent done it. im sure the manufacturer of the adapted bellhousing will be able to tell you.

hope that helps.

Hi
The ford Probe engine is basically a Mazda engine and NOT a Ford engine.

I do not know if the Mazda Miate gearbox would fit
