Default Iva 99dba????

hi all is 99.9 still 99 in the eyes of the IVA man?

I have managed to get my car down to 99.0 with the inroduction of a diferant back box and some sound deadning around the engine bay

but i dont fancy cutting it that close, iv ordered a bonnet scoop this morning to hopfully cut down the induction noise well at least muffle it abit.

also you now the exhaust wrap. if i use it then take it off 1 can u re use ( i think my dad fancys some)
and does it leave any marks on the manifold???

Well done Tilly, you're nearly there.

Don't forget though that it's 3/4 rpm at max power rather than max rpm, may save you 1000rpm or so.

i have only got to have mine done at 3750rpm as my max power comes in at 5000rpm. fingers crossed that its ok on the day

dont forget that at iva they do the test in an open area so its less likely that the sound will have objects like fences to reverberate off.

You can have my db killer as it didn't fit mine and I didn't need it on Sunday. Always worth having with you to pop in if it looks like being an issue.

Yes it is a "stuff it up" one. No problem and good luck.
