Never happy!
As usual, I am never happy and been fiddling and adjusting
Made a new dashboard setup due to changes in fog light switch and slight clearance issues (wanted a bit more knee/leg room in passenger footwell) Still got to fettle a couple of littke bits but 95% happy with this one IMAG0037.jpg The top of the transmission tunnel will be foam and black leatherette and the same grey on the sides to contrast Russ Last edited by rpjg1975 : 20th July 2013 at 06:46 PM. |

Very nice, gives the dash a really nice look to it.
Probably makes the dials easier to see too, rather than stuffed behind the steering wheel? |

Cheers, yeah it does, you lose the top end of the rev counter with standard sierra steering wheel but can't see me spending too much time above 5000 rpm or so

I've got similar issues seeing my clocks and thinking I might just fit a nice big shift light behind my wheel. |

Very true, probably not the most important thing to be watching

I'm thinking about a foray into Arduino electronics, a DIY shift light with some unreasonably bright LEDs right in the field of view behind the steering wheel or inside the aeroscreen recess.

Arfon,
Thanks very much. By all means, they are from a company online called greengauges. Custom designed with whatever bezel, dial colour, needle colour etc you want. I actually got mine second hand, as new for less than the price of the Speedo! They aren't cheap but can vouch for the quality Russ |

I have just spoken to ETB and they are now prepared to supply me a set of mechanical gauges at the original price, I would prefer mechanical to electrical as I am not that good with programing instruments they will take up to 2 weeks to sort.
thanks for your reply Arfon |
