Default can we please please have a efi section

to the powers that be could we please please have a section for fuel injection emmision control and eletronic ign
this could cover ecu's normal and aftermarket programable types and aftermarket ing systems like megajolt

it is hard to get a engine pre 95 thease days and closed loop engine control is must to get an emissions pass at an iva

I think anything like this is a good idea but we can’t even get a for sale section.

Haynes don’t make any money from this forum so spending time administering it or working on it will be possibly the lowest priority ever for them.

We can but try.

Cheers Ginge

if we get enough votes i can speak to the powers above. ginge there are different reasons for not having a for sale section. mainly that haynes don't want the responsibility when sales go wrong which given all the best will in the world will eventually happen.

What about a "Wanted" section? it would be easier than trying to look through all the threads looking?

Good idea or Bad idea?

nice idea but its still buying and selling so Haynes wont get involved. we can get topical things added if there is an obvious need but a for sale/wanted section was ruled out from day one

even as moderators andy, ginge and i have very limited/ no involvement in decisions on how the forum is run, it belongs to Haynes and they do as they see fit.

Not causing an argument so how can people advertise they are selling up and selling their cars.

Hi Dean,

Like Ash has said Haynes wouldn,t want to be seen as encouraging items to be sold on a dedicated "For Sale" section on the forum , we,re fortunate that they allow items to be sold between members who generally use the Announcements section as this tends to be more of an adhoc situation & so has no direct involvement from Haynes themselves.

It would be nice to have a few dedicated new sections available but its understandable why Haynes wouldn,t wish to get involved.

cheers
andy
