Cool will gearbox fit & what is the best gearbox

hi all builders just wondered if i ordered the chassis with mt75 tunnel but could not source one at time of build would i still be able to fit the type 9 box in would it be a case of fabricating bigger / longer gearbox mounts has any one done this before im sure it would not be to much trouble?????.....

ALSO
what is the better gearbox type 9 or mt75 any info would be great many thanks DAN ...

If you don't have a box, go for the wider MT75 tunnel, Mounts will need fabricating to suit your engine location anyway so not a issue.

Many recon the Type 9 has better ratio spread but I have never really paid any attention.

Welcome to the forum

As TT has said, you,ll need to fabricate engine mounts etc so adjusting the mounts for whatever gearbox is easy peasy, easier to do the mounts than having to refabricate the transmission tunnel once its all welded together ( tho this is still possible too )

Just be aware that the drivers footwell / pedal area will be smaller by about 25mm if you fabricate the chassis to accept the MT75 box.

I have a MT75 box going for sale, open to offers but it is in north wales though.
