Tank Return & Vent: Opinions Please
Do you think Mr IVA will ok this arrangement, the hose is going to be replaced with proper stuff (it's just put there for the moment to hold the pipes in place)

I don't know about IVA James but I'd be concerned about the pipe fracturing at some point in the future due to excessive vibration/movement. I would prefer to keep thepipe tail as short as possible after the last cleat and run to the tank in hose.

dont like the look of that i would just go with rubber hose from the chassis rail and loose all that free standing copper pipe

Why not put the vent into the filler pipe and have a vented cap?
