Default IVA & Bias Bars

Just been looking on another forum and noticed that there is a new revision of the IVA manual out here -

http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/Trans...ion_4_0510.pdf

An interesting change is you can now mechanically lock a brake bias bar (e.g. lock wire) as long as you put a sticker by the master cylinder saying "Adjusting front/rear brake bias may invalidate approval and breach Construction and Use requirements."

So no need to weld them up anymore - good to see a sensible approach being taken to the regulations.

Just going through the rest of the manual and there are a number of interesting changes - still working my way through but just found that there is interesting new figure on P135 of the PDF. Seems there is now a new exclusion zone between the wishbones for cars with exposed suspension - basically a wedge shaped area that is now exempt. Front and rear edges will still be required to be radisued, but at a guess it looks like the majority of the shock will be inside this area.

I think the wishbone one was a result of Ash's Test, where the tester found it impossible to get the test sphere into the area.
