i have a 1.8 cvh sierra engine. looking to put on bike carbs and then megajolt.
at the moment it has standard distributor.
i have been offered an edis of a 1.25 fiesta zetec
my questions are

As long as it says EDIS 4 on the module it'll be fine

I would at the very least, make sure that you get the plug with it .... Difficult to find on their own.

You may be lucky & find that the TDC sensor wire is un-cut .... Some folk just butcher them out of the car !!

If you are wanting to make use of the EDIS Tachometer drive output, it would be easiest to make sure that you get a plug that has Pin 2 Connected .... Some plugs don't .

hi
he says he has coil, spark plug leads, wire plug which fits into coil which he says he has cut but it does have long tail.
does it have an ecu too? he never mentioned one. will have to ask him
also, where the wires have been cut, are they easy to match up again
also, how can i tell if pin 2 is connected on plug. is it on plug to coil? (probably really obvious)
thanks

The original EDIS donor's car would have had an ECU but you won't be needing that as you'll be using a Megajolt to control the spark

Pin 2 is on the EDIS moudule plug .... Green wire if I remember correctly, some base model cars were not fitted with a tacho & pin 2 is blanked off.

All you need is the EDIS 4 & plug, coil pack, Megajolt, then you'll be good to go
