homemade mushroom adaptors
Hi guys,
just wandering if anyone has made the adaptors as per the pdf file posted awhile ago, if so do you need to machine top as shown with the profile. the shape looks difficult to machine. I noticed that the rally design one albeit not offset it is flat below the tapered hole. Does this make sense to you, also what steel should be used for this. cheers, tony. |

As long as there a radius between the two you should be fine. I plan to do mine by mounting them on a mandrel to blend the two in. I've not made mine yet - but the bar is sat by the lathe waiting for me to get around to it!

Hi, I made my own out of ally I adjusted some of the dims a little and I didnt bother with the taper on the top just stepped it with a radius tool.
I didnt bother with the notches either. Not too sure if i am going to use them I might make some stainless ones as the ally ones are a bit soft. I did mark the offset whilst they were on the lathe so its easy to tell where the max offset is. Ray |
