Default Mounting plate

Good morning all.

I have now finished from work so spent all day on the roadster yesterday and I am now ready to fit the lump.

I have gone with a pinto lump and was just wondering if anyone knows the measurements for the mounting holes as I would like to nip into work today to make a plate up.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Nick

The answer to this one is no body knows but you. Where does your gear stick sit in the tunnel, are you using the Sierra engine mounts or home made ones with Landrover rubbers, are you using flat 5mm plate or the book spec boxes? If all you have at home is a pistol drill then use the right size drill as a centre dot (remembering that it is a drill, ie tap it don't smack it!) use 4-5mm pilot then drill out with 10-12mm.
Hope this helps a little but this is why I don't fit engine mounts to the chassis I supply.

Cheers for the reply.

In going to make my mounts out of box section and I already have the landrover rubbers.

I will be making them in my workshop at work so will have all the tools and equipment required. I just wondered if any one knew the hole layout on the pinto so I could go into work and make these up straight away.

I don't no if the info I need is in the book but I managed to leave the book at work when I left of Friday.

The bits of 3mm plate that are welded to the chassis have also already been made so I just need to make the box section mount that bolts onto the pinto lump.

Cheers Nick
