Default just popped in to say hi.

hi, it's been a while.
My build remains unfinished under a tarp on my car trailer.
hasn't been touched since moving house twice in 8 years.
came on here as someone on fb was asking about lhd chassis plans.
seems a bit like the Marie Celeste here.
If there's anyone out there hi .

It is pretty quiet!

I'm just going through the process of relocating my build and then will be back on the case with it.

Any plans to restart yours?

I wish I could start another build - of my own that is - after writing off my Roadster the boss isn't happy about me having another. I have helped build a Tiger Avon with ST170 engine TB's and over 200 bhp on the rolling road and should be helping build another MX5 based roadster after lockdown but its not the same is it. Sad to see this forum so quiet but glad it's still about

I’m not too far into my build but I’m already planning another, making a few changes here and there, with Healey3000 bodywork

Very quite indeed!

I am struggling having my car registered in France, as rules are way different than in the UK or in Sweden where I built it and get it registered in 2014. So except for some test dives once a year, it hasn't been driven for more than 2 years now

I will not go on Facebook (I gave up on that last year and I don't miss it at all!), but if the guy you're talking about needs info about LHD Roadster, that is what I built, so he is welcome to contact me. I could even fit a MT75 gearbox on a Type 9 chassis without modification, as the starter motor is on the right side!

Hello all - I look on here from time-to-time, certainly very quiet but a great resource for searching...

Sylvain - a real shame to hear that, after such a great build!

Default Post Build Forum Revisit from Spikehaus (2021)

Hi Guys,

Just dropped in to say hi to all the old & new builders.

I still have my Roadster, but it only moved about twice in the last 7 years, and each time was when we moved house!

Hoping to dust the Roadster off and get it back on the road soon.

It hard to believe I spent so long building it, then never had the time to enjoy it!

I have missed the community recently so will check in from time to time.

Hopefully this post may help to inspire?

Keep Safe

Spikehaus

Howdy..

Mine has hardly been touched in years, We tidied up the garage last year and made everything more accessible. Then my son filled it with his random projects.

I should have more time on my hands as I have less basket case cars... But I just have more cars that are nearly done.
