Default Anyone know an upholsterer?

I've been let down the guy who was supposed to be making the seat pads and headrest for the single seater, does anyone know of an upholsterer who wants to be famous?

Basically it's a setbase pad, a seatback pad and a headrest

A good write up in the book awaits the lucky winner.

Cheers

Chris

My Sister-in-Law has a degree in Textiles but lives up in Edinburgh. Although they are planning on relocating down in Hartlepool early next year....

Seat pads? Headrest? in s Single Seater - you're getting soft Chris

Decent bucket seat and be done with it - or is it too narrow

The seat is part of the chassis, with adjustable pedals, hence the pads and the headrest is an IVA requirement these days

Andy and Andy, I'll give you a ring.

Cheers

Chris

I see, so there is a chassis plate acting as the seat base, the pad is just a pad?

My initial thoughts on the bucket would have involved a high back with integrated headrest

How is it coming along? I know I need to finish the roadster, but wouldn't mind adding a single seater to the collection

My father knows someone that does it for a living, but usually for historic racing cars, so not likely to be cheap. If you want his details I can get them for you.

Oh contraire young Ash my boy, I fit very nicely.

I'm like the tardis in reverse or something, smaller on the inside.

The seat is made from aluminium panels fixed to the chassis

The car's coming on very well, as is the book, few more bits and we're off for the IVA. The book's due out when Haynes can fit it into their production schedule, they're bucking the trend and expanding into other sujects with some cracking books - Look out for their classic aeroplane manuals, I've got the Spitfire and Lancaster books and I'm waiting for the Tiger Moth book.

BTW I'm looking for free not cheap Steve!

Cheers

Chris
