oil from type 9 output
May be a stupid question but should oil run out from the output shaft end of the gearbox when there is no propshaft fitted?
I'm guessing that once the prop is fitted, the oil seals work stopping any oil from escaping but just want to be sure my box isn't duff |

Yes, oil is going out from the rear of the gear box if there is no propshaft, especially if it is leaning backward, this is perfectly normal
Hope this will help.

I can relate to that. At least 3 times during the build.

We have cut down the input shaft from Sierra to slot in when we take out and engine and box for that very reason.
