motor bike cradle advice .
going to build my cradle the weekend for my bike engine. but i bought my chassis powder coated.so dont really want to be grinding it so it can be welded. so can i bolt the triangler flanges on or do they have to be welder like in this photo?

nope you certainly need to weld them. don't worry about the powder coating there as you can just touch it up with paint. the side panels cover that rail up anyway so you will never see that the powder coat has been ground away once they are on.

You may as well learn how to touch it up now coz i bet you £20 you want to weld another 101 things to the chassis before its finished
I know i thought my welding was all finished before i painted my chassis but i have welded allsorts on since then |

Like wot Mark sez The paint is barely dry on mine and I have already thought about adding more brackets for brake pipe splitters and some way of tying down the wiring, fuel and brake pipes in the tunnel. Wish I'd though about it more earlier....
