Default Yes

Yes, in a word

The distance from your Roadster hand break to the rear callipers is shorter than the distance from the Sierra hand break to the rear callipers unless you are installing rear seats!

I stand to be corrected!

Hi
Thanks for your reply, how are the ends recrimped or resoldered again?

Well I have not done it myself but AshG cable clamped the cable to shorten it. Others have cut the cable and re-soldered a nipple on.

If we wait a little someone will be along with a slightly more concise answer.

It may be possible to use cables from a Sharan or the Ford derivative the name escapes me at the mo,they are fairly short and have a long slotted end that will require a new handbrake end making.
I have just aquired some and will try to post a pic tomorrow.

See every time this forum comes up trumps just a mind of information.

Hi,apparently (on lcb) your local friendly aa man has a box of ends that fit like solderless nipples now i cant vouch for this but its worth a try.
let me know how you sort this as ill need to do the same.
otherwise i beleive someone like speedy cables can make them up to your spec
i have an rs2000 mk5 handbrake cable on my disc braked mk2 escort but i think thatll be too long too

VW Sharan, Ford Galaxy, SEAT Alhambra. All built on the same line at a joint venture in Portugal... I've seen all three lined up side by side at a used car market -- the only difference was the grill design.
