how much longer do you need them?
if you get the lobro type driveshafts that you find on lsd sierras its quite simple as you can just machine up some spacers to go on the end of the shafts. |

Like your thinking there Ash ....... Great way to gain quite a few extra mm's
Failing that, I dare say that many of the propshaft companies will offer custom driveshaft services

For Ford drive shafts it's best to go to GB Engineering, he's done plenty of shortened ones for the guys on locostbuilders. They were about £160.
Kind regards John

I've just been looking at the price of 4" - 4" 1/4 ali bar and I could make drive shaft spacers for about £30-40 each. Now would you want to go through the CV and the spacer in one hit with 6 long bolts, or counter bore the spacer and bolt it to the flange then bolt the CV to spacer?
One for twin turbo, Q are the bolt on shafts different lengths? You could put standard long shaft on the short side and put a standard long on the other side with one spacer so would only cost £30-40? Combine this with peugeot wheels instead of ford the bigger off set would give you more clearance.

it depends how big the spacer needs to be personally i would say you need to counter bore anything over 25mm. i would also use 12.9 bolts as the shear force in torsion will be higher due to the cvjoint pivot being further away from the diff output flanges.

a space will probably work on the read drive shafts on my design as the drive shaft is bolts to a flange near the diff but I am still lost on the front as I need them to be as much as 150mm longer and they are shafted each end. All I will need is a longer shaft the cv and tripod uj are fine

would be handy I you could just knock the cv off and add an extension
