How to cover for IVA
Spending ages putting trim on stuff at the moment. I am a bit stuck with how to cover the locknut on the top drop link. Also do I need to cover the cast flats on the track rod ends? Tempted to just grind them off!
Thanks for any advice anyone! |

Ken, you can buy some large diameter heat shrink and cover them that way, or a lot of people on Locostbuilders use old bike inner tubes stretched over and cable tied on.

For the track rod ends and the steering rack extensions I used electrical glands but furore kit cars sell them cheaply. David

I used armoured gland boots to cover the rack extensions and top ball joint nut.
Mine came off the internet a lot cheaper than fueore. I googled something like replacement swa boots. They were also thicker and more rubbery than the screwfix ones. And much larger. Trim wise I put it on most bits but if it can be touched by a 100mm sphere (large orange) it needs to have a radius on it. |
