Default Handbrake positioning

Any recommendations on the position of the handbrake? I remember handy andy recommending lowering it slightly when I had a chat with him but I'm unsure how much lower you can go or even how to do it.

I know some builders fix it to the left to make more room on the drivers side of the tunnel...

As I'm building BEC with paddle shifters I will try to fit it close the the scuttle/dashboard and at the angle, for better ergonomy...

Just a thought but would mr iva be ok with it positioned there? I'm thinking of radius of the end etc?

In Poland mr iva doesn't care about radius of parts.
