Rear lamp mounting,
Can the rear lamps be mounted flush on the rear wings and pass the IVA or do they need plinths to get them mounted verticaly?
I am using landrover style WIPAC individual lamps. Cheers TT

I thought it was only the fog that needs to be vertical
Also there isn't much clearance behind the nas lights and the tyre with the 1 inch (ish) plinth I've used a bit of rubber u trim as there is a slight gap top and bottom where the plinth meets the wing HTH |

I could be mistaken but I remember a long time ago while talking to handyandy he mentioned that the angled part can be made by slicing plastic gutter downpipe because its exactly the right diameter.....not sure if his lights are the same as yours but worth a bit of investigation to save some pennies? Are yours the smaller landrover type ones or the larger nas type? I think he used the larger ones. The proper plinths are on ebay but are a couple of quid each so does mount up Russ Last edited by rpjg1975 : 3rd April 2013 at 09:52 PM. |

I believe that the rear fog and reversing light need to be vertical but not the other rear lights. Mine passed with the lights bolted to the wings, i only had the fog and reverse lights vertical.
