Morning guys.
Another sunny Sunday morning.......Not!!!

Just bought a Ford Ka clock on the EBlag.
But it came without the plug.

Anyone have a Haynes manual, or happen to know how to wire it up?
It's got a 6 pin socket, I know 2 wires go to the dash light, and one seems to be blank. I could guess the wires,
but frightend of blowing it up and wasting the 99p I paid....

Cheers David

Here that's a nice clock

That'll sit nicely in my dash............Well, that's if I had one :D

I lost track of Ford wiring mid way through the 90's !!??

See quite a few ka's at the breakers, i'll keep my eyes peeled for a plug ;)

The clock itself will only have a live & netural feed ( Bet you already know that though )
The backlight may have a dimmer circuit built in, this would explain some of the extra pins.

Sorry mate, about as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike :o

Here you go David

Stolen from a post on the net :D :D
-------------------------------------------------------

Ok looking at the pic which is of the back of the clock
(with case removed) pins are-Top pair of pins (near the clock mech) Left is
Batt + Permanant, Right is-ground, Next pair (down) Left is not used, Right is-
illumination (leds), Bottom pair is Left Igh +, Right is not used, What i've done is join the batt and ign wires together and fed them from a battery
(permanant live) as i only ran a batt pos, ground and panel lights wires into the headlining, I could'nt see the point of an ign supply as the clock needs to be fed all the time, All seems to work ok this way.

------------------------------------------------------------

Might be of some use ;)

Came from the last post here (http://www.car-forums.com/talk/showthread.php?t=21826)

Know how it feels mate

Recently spent nearly 2 days searching for the pin-outs of my Zetech engines ECU

Gave up in the end

Had a look in the Ford Escort manual..............Yep you guessed it.....There they were :D :o

I now have a strict policy of looking in the last place first :D
