SVA OK - brake master cylinder mod

Hi all,

Just revisited my Roadster project after a break, and I wanted to get people's opinions on a mod I made to my brake master cylinder.

The original problem was: the slots on my m/c were too far spaced out to meet with the holes on the pedal box plate (which had been positioned as per the book - it looks like my donor m/c was an unusual Sierra type - typical! ).

I extended the slots on the m/c to 'fix' this issue. Having done this mod, I'm now worried that the SVA tester might not like it, even though the original design had slots anyway - any opinions?

Original m/c:

With washers and nuts on there they wont see it anyway, but even then I don't think this will cause an issue as its not weakened it in any plane that would make a difference to braking.

Cheers

SVA man won't give two hoot's ... He was replaced by IVA man years ago.

Cool thanks for the comments, and I should have remembered about IVA/SVA change - amazing they haven't changed it again already!

Cover your back and make some shaped plates and fit lock lock nuts and washers.

As above, I see no problem with that. Nylocks and plain washers would be the best for the job I'd say.
