Haynes Roadster FAQ
There are lots good, informative posts on the forum that get lost in banter. The usual way to address this problem is to have an FAQ thread/post with links to the most informative theads. The way to do it is to have a sticky thread with an edited first post, and people suggesting questions and links to the FAQ in the thread. So, I'm volunteering to maintain the FAQ.
Here are my first ideas ideas about what questions should go in, I'll edit to fill in links and more questions. How much steel do I need for the chassis? In short: most people nowadays go for HandyAndy's flatpack kit. No measuring and cutting, perfect angles and dimensions everywhere, like a Lego set you have to weld together. If you want to do it yourself, though, get 7x 6m lengths of 25x25 and 3x 6m lengths of 20x20. There will be some leftovers but you'll be glad you have them. http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6263 http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6553 http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6377 http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showp...56&postcount=3 http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showp...9&postcount=44 http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showt...6733#post46733 Where do I get steel for chassis, and what should I ask for?
