I've seen a few comments saying if you are running fuel injection and put a catalytic converter in the exhaust you'll probably be able to get to the necessary emissions standard. No chance on carbs and without a cat though, which is what I want to do with mine... :mad:

If this is only a consultation paper, it will take time to implement and there will have to be a period of grace surely?

Bit of extra positive pressure behind the build now, hopefully push it on :eek:

You'd like to think so, and the consultation did not define when the kitcar specific changes would be applied, although some of the other changes in the paper were for implementation from May this year!

I put in a letter about the change to the relevant people, stating that it would significantly penalise a small number of people for very little benefit and potentially pose a negative effect ( scrapped engines, scrapped projects ).

I have an 1800 Zetec as a backup plan, but it would be nice if the people in power actualy look at what they are doing rather than whitewashing a change.
