So if I have the VIN plate (the one from the bonnet slam panel) and a V5 in my name I'm cool... I too didn't cut out the VIN from the body ( )

Or am I in the hands of the DVLA???

I'll stick my neck out & say you should be ok unless your local DVLA officials are a bunch of anal twats

Most of the information they require will be on the V5

The best advice I can offer is to make sure you keep good build records, recipts in order & gather as much information as you can.

They'll be less likely to mess you about if you can demonstrate that you have a good working knowledge of the registration process
