I spent a lot of time sitting in traffic this summer and didn't experience any cooling issues.

The Polo radiator I've bought has the top & bottom inlet & outlet facing backwards and the bottom one comes directly onto the suspension mount, it looks like I could lift it up above the suspension mount but it would be outside the front frame is that how it should be or have I got the wrong Polo rad? Any suggestions please.
Regards Mick.

Sounds like you might have the wrong one
I can't find any good pics, but here's a couple of my Polo rad for comparison:

Thanks for that information Yes your right I bought a 2000-2009 one there is two one 400 something and one 600 something wide and I just went for the 400 odd one but it's wider than the front frame at the bottom, looked it up and the one for the polo mk2 is the one I want I think so they are going to change it hopefully.

Regards Mick.
