how about a "brake fluid test switch" ?
to check that the fluid warning level bulb is working . andy:) |
ah yes good point, but do you have to have it as a seperate button or can you have it linked to the handbreak light so that if it is low the handbreak light stays on????

Shift light(s)?
|
i,m just going from a discussion i had with Spud69, i,m pretty sure that when he went for his SVA he had to have a means of testing the bulb within that circuit from within the cockpit area, it may well work from the handbrake switch, i,m not totally sure but i know Spud has a seperate switch that he can function whilst sitting in the drivers seat.
cheers andy:) |
also, how about a "gear indicator" as you are running a bike engine, they seem popular.
andy:) |
ahh brill, that clears up the break fluid, il fir a seperate light and button to be on the safe side, and as for gear deplay and shift lights they sounds like nice expencive gadgets to have...
Keep em coming people hehehe Thanks Tilly |

by the sounds of it your dash will be pretty smart, Captain Kirk would be impressed ;) :D  andy |
Ahh right that makes sence chears andy,
Yeh the dash is going to be quite creative sice i have very little space behind the wheel and i carnt put anything big above the tunnel since iv made a high shifter like in a rally car so im going to have to be quite creative as to were i put things but hopfully it wont be to like a 747's flight deck, you might just be able to see the shifter in my progress so far post tilly |
ahh yes i see the shifter now, just a thought..... make sure the frame of the shifter is IVA friendly = no sharp edges etc, not putting down your work, just hoping Mr IVA doesn,t give you grief for the layout ;) :)
is that the shift connection rod showing under the scuttle? if so , nice straight connection to the gearbox, be nice n precise gear change , nice one  andy |
Oil pressure light?
|
Oil preasure, like that,
Yeh andy that rod goes forward to flexable push pull cable, as for the a frame thats all going to become part of the dash so will be compleatly covered but yeh mr IVA man needs to be kept happy my main consern is how close my fuel lines are to the prop shaft in the tunnel, they are very close but they arnt going to touch it...i might modifigh then but im not sure |
Tilly, what are you goig to use for a speedo. If the bike clocks are used how will you calibrate it,
Vapor dash may be easier. |
im going to use the bike clocks with a speado healer, dont like the look of the vapors
Chears Tilly |
