I got some from a supplier on eBay, can't remember who tho. I think it was called 14mm stainless precision tube.

If you type into ebay

Stainless Steel Tube 14mm OD x 300mm long 1mm w brushed.

Beware using stainless and mild steel together,I think you guys mean seamless
any hydraulic supplier should be able to supply seamless pipe.

No, they mean stainless. I would be worried about galvanic corrosion, especially as the lower rear upright to wishbone bolt (try saying that after a few tins too many :o) is the worst bolt to undo anywhere on an MX-5. It's not uncommon for them needing to be cut off. On my donor, a 5' breaker bar with over 100kg of weight wasn't enough to even make them budge. I had to cut the bolts off with a hacksaw; reminds me, I still need to remove the centre part of the bolts from the upright...

Its mild that I have been looking for to avoid the corrosion but seems the right size of seamless mild is just not available may have to get some machineing done so many things annoying me about the build atm

All the engineering companies I try for an offcut of 5mm plate want to charge for the entire sheet when all I am after is half a square metre

Its a pain when you don't have good access to materials.

I priced 5mm steel was something like 1/2M sq, was going to have a go at making the diff brackets and it was cheaper to buy them made from ebay!?!?!? wtf

Buy some steel off ebay and give them the materials then you only need to pay for labour. My engine mounts were made with 5mm steel off ebay.
