Headlight Mounting Brackets

Good Evening all,

Nearly to the point of having a rolling chassis :) I'm looking at the headlight mounting brackets (the oval tubing) and I am thinking can I just use some 25mm round tube instead of the oval tube.

What are your thoughts?

Oval tube is purely an aesthetic issue. Round tube will perform the same job and in my experience, much easier to get hold of.

I crushed some 19mm round tube in the vice, and after several practices it seemed pretty good.
I've tried to post pictures but as usual no joy.

Think of the Aerodynamics :D :D

Seriously though, round tube will be fine or has been sugested, if you have a vice that is up to the job you can soon make it oval ;)

I made a small oval dolly & ovalised some 25mm round tube on the anvil block :)
