brake master cylinder

My donor had ABS so I will need a new master cylinder. I'm assuming here that a mc from any suitable car will do, not just the sierra one. Any thoughts or guidance appreciated. :)

You will need to ensure that the diameter of the pistons for the front and rear circuits are the same diameter - have a searhc for brakes international on google as they have a great online catalogue.

Thanks David I had a quick look and it appears that the MC from a Fiat 124 will do the job at around £16. ;)
Also checked Locost forum and found that some builders were using this.

is that for discs or drums on the rear?

I've got discs all round. I may have to put a reducer in the braking system.
The brake pads on the rear are smaller than the front so I don't know yet if this will make a difference.

Also I've found out that it's quite expensive to buy the fluid reservoir which will have to be adapted to suit the MC (around £37 incl Vat from CBS).

I'm keeping my options open and head on down to the breakers at the weekend to see if I can find a suitable cylinder and reservoir complete.
I do have a second hand sierra cylinder which requires new seals, however the reservoir sits at an angle when mounted and I am concerned that this will affect the level warning.

My reservoir also sits at an angle from the donor sierra but the fluid warning still works fine
