Complete list of materials needed!!

Hi

This is my first post

The plan 2 zetec, i have mt75 gearbox already from a friend building mk indy 1200 BEC. I am going to try and do everything possible to do it on a very low budget. I an very well honed at megasquirt now and have experince setting up on the rollers so running the zetec on throttle bodies from a bike is where i am heading.

I am looking for a list of exactly how much of each size box/tube i need for complete chassis including suspension.

I work in an engineering workshop where i have access to just about an saw/welder lathe/milling machine/cnc plasma etc i will need to build. I will do my best to order everything through work which I can then order at cost+10%. Hope to get the material as cheap as possible.

So far this looks to be a friendly forum:D

Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the link... all i can see is the list for the box section.

What other tube will I need?

Maybe I should get my head stuck into the book and work it out for myself

Hi Mike
6m of 25mm Dia (1") seamless mechanical grade 2mm wall and 3m of 19mmDia (3/4") seamless mech grade 2mm wall for the suspension.... a lump of 3mm steel i'd guess around 1/2 sq m for chassis plates .... a small chunk of 5mm steel around 1/2 sq m of 1mm steel. Check the book for the rest as I am not that far on my build yet, if your in an engineering shop I guess the scrap bin will furnish you with all you will need.......oh.... welcome and get building.
