First attempt at Ali welding so be gentle...pressure tested to 5bar only one leak (arrow) now re welded.. Sump made from 5" pipe ...filler from a section of zip up scaffolding (now a bit wobbly) !!

Yes Tig welded wish i had used the current setting i used to fix the leak ...i cranked it up a bit and had to go like the clappers...but much neater..

5 bar :eek: :eek: :D or did you mean psi?

You can be confident about your first attempt at ali if it can hold 5 bar :)

it did kinda balloon at the sides a wee bit but better safe than sorry !!!:)

i would check you baffle in the middle. i did that on mine and cracked the welds first time round :(
