Got my new power train...
Picked up a 1.8CVH and box ( and spare box ) from liverpool this morning.
Are peeps using the normal mounting arms on their CVH? Will the stock air cleaner clear the bonnet? Any other known issues with fitting the CVH. Hopefully have it in and test fired by the end of the month. :) TT |
think one of the arms hits the steering shaft
dont think the air filter will clear the std bonnet line its massive |
From what I've seen the right hand mounting arm will not clear the steering column as previously mentioned.
I again don't think the air cleaner will have enough space. If you need any spare bits for your engine then just let me know as I have a dud stripped CVH sitting in my garage. |
Got a sump and pickup simon?
TT |
Afraid not, they were given to the person I bought my zetec from.

Last time I worked on a CVH was 2001  .. bloomin heavy beast for what it is.. was a right pain to get out the car.

out the back of the car that is.....

The prototype car had an aftermarket airfilter with a hole cut in the bonnet for it, but then it was a pinto...
Maybe you could still do a similar thing? |
I will just build a ducted feed if it's too close.:)
