Big mistake :(
 

Had a major cock up today...

I'd had the nose cone off to make the grill, and put it back on yesterday.

Silly me forgot to tighten it back up, and started mapping my engine (driving with bonnet off). It fell off, onto gravel and i drove straight into it :mad:

Not a happy bunny. I've managed to polish it out a bit, so now it just looks like a few stone chips. Luckily the worst part of the damage is towards the bottom, which doesn't stand out as much as if it was the top.

wouldn't worry about that. you wait and see what it looks like once you have been off the track into the gravel a few times :D

your not building it to be a show car its been built to be driven which will inevitably generate the odd chip scratch and bump here and there

You could always give it a red mouth with some viynl and hide the marks.

if it makes you feel any better i filled my petrol can at the garage yesterday ...sat it at the back of the car as i had spilled a wee bit ...went in and paid ....then promptly drove over the top of it !!!

First post in over a year.
