Default Big mistake :(

Had a major cock up today...

I'd had the nose cone off to make the grill, and put it back on yesterday.

Silly me forgot to tighten it back up, and started mapping my engine (driving with bonnet off). It fell off, onto gravel and i drove straight into it

Not a happy bunny. I've managed to polish it out a bit, so now it just looks like a few stone chips. Luckily the worst part of the damage is towards the bottom, which doesn't stand out as much as if it was the top.

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.

wouldn't worry about that. you wait and see what it looks like once you have been off the track into the gravel a few times

your not building it to be a show car its been built to be driven which will inevitably generate the odd chip scratch and bump here and there
