Hi Deano,

To get age related plates you need the original or exact replacement bodyshell and two major components OR, pretty much all the donor parts from a single vehicle (any part replaced much be exact same as fitted to donor), in the case of the haynes roadster. You need to score at least 8 points and without using the original bodyshell then you need to use all the parts front the donor including engine to get the required 8 points.

FWIW there is no practical value in an age related plate, particularly with regards to kit cars, so I can never work out why people are so hung up on them....
A Q plate will allow you to build the car with the bits you want to use straight away and not have to bugger the car about afterwards.
