It might be worth finding out what sort of temp is needed to bake off the powder. It's my understanding that using a heat gun won't be enough as the material underneath has to heated for the powder to stick, otherwise it just lays over the material and is prone to peeling off. One thing I do know is that if you make a mess of coating the part and you've baked it if you soak it in thinners for a day it all just falls off.
