![]() Hello all.
Just wanted to check to see how everyone mounted the seat rails? Having a little trouble trying to work out how to attatch them to the rails and still be able to remove in the future without having to remove the floor. Any pics or advice would be fantastic. Thanks all |

![]() My car has extra tubes fitted to mount the runners on. I used rivnuts and dome head allen bolts to connect the runners to the rails. Its a little bit tricky in the tight space especially if you have fitted the side panels.

![]() Just weld some 5mm flat plate to the floor across the rails as wgrove has done,at least this still keeps the seat height low and 5mm plate 450mm long wont flex

![]() I don't think IVA man will like that idea much either!
I went for some lenghts of 25mm RHS to bolt the seat runners to: I then welded in some tube and ground it flat to stop them crushing when the bolts are tightened up: Was going to use flat plate originally but the adjuster on my runners wouldn't allow me to mount them flat to the floor. |

![]() If you are tall and want/need to be low in the car then flat bar, I used 6mm and once the runners are bolted through the bar and floor its rock solid
Box section would be fine if you aint that tall and need a bit of help seeing over the scuttle! Dont forget the thickness of the seat base when allowing for your final seat height position, mines on 6mm bar, lowest profile runners I could find and a fibreglass seat, this adds up to a couple of inches with the seat thickness taken into account |
