Default Do mx5 seats fit?

I've seen a few comments about mx5 seats fitting but also others that say they don't. I know there are a few mx5 builds so was wondering if those seats fit?
They seem like a nice little sporty seat and I'm sure they would be cheap enough.

They won't fit without some kind of modification.
If you remove the reclining mechanism and weld the back to the base instead I suspect they'd just squeeze in there.

No problem. Would have been handy for mx5 builds.
So does anyone know of any production car seats that fit?
Might be handy to get a list going.

That's a strange one. I expected there to be front seats that fit from small hatchbacks such as corsa, fiesta etc.
I guess there's not much room at all.

I was suprised by just how small the gap is too, took measurements from a wrecked fiesta we have lying about (oldish, small one) and seats were about 3 inches too wide! Even most bucket-seats are a bit wide!!
