![]() Anybody have any idea what bolts/fixings are used for mounting the Oval Alloy Upper Steering Column bracket to the CP15 Plates. The reason I ask is the elongated holes on the CP15 plates are drilled to M13, but the Oval Bracket holes are wider ( 17mm ? ). Is there need for inserts of some kind which I'm missing. In the sierra manual it just shows two nuts holding the column.
Its a non adjustable column off an '88 Sapphire by the way, Dave. |

![]() Took me a while to understand where you meant. I was wondering the same thing and was thinking of getting someone to turn me up 2x tophat type inserts for the bolts to pass through. If that makes sense.
I don't know if they are really needed but would put my mind at rest. |

![]() It looks like it was just two 17mm nuts that bolted on to fixed studs underneath the fascia as far as I can make out, I never had a donor vehicle, I've just bought parts as I've gone along, Dave.
