I just asked the same question on LocostBuilders.co.uk . Rough answer is you'll need new sump, water rail, clutch, flywheel, throttle bodies, inlet manifold, megasquirt / megajolt ECU and some other little bits. It seems to cost most people around £750 to mate it up to a type 9 bell housing.

Original Zetec wiring seems to be pretty useless. But its not like 2.0 Pinto (100Bhp) or 2.0 Zetec (135Bhp) are the only choices. Have you considered a 1.6 RS Turbo (140Bhp)? 2.0 Vauxhall C20XE Redtop (150Bhp)? 1.6 Toyota 4AGE (160Bhp).

The Pinto is easy to install, and loads of tuning parts are available for it. But its going to cost around another £500 to get it to 150Bhp.
