I like your thinking here Gaz. Only issue is I still done know what the advantage of using a pre '95 engine is?

Do they not have emissions data for pre '95 zetecs? therefore emissions test would be more relaxed.

I only ask cos all zetecs had cat, and would therefore need the equivalent CAT test, unless they(vosa) did not have data to compare. In which case emissions test figures would be more relaxed.

Hope this makes sense, I am confusing mself now!
