zetec engine ecu

I see, didn't realise there were other items that would affect it such as headlights.
I don't have a donor but one without pats is going to be very rare.
The reason for doing this is that there are never any pre 95 engines for sale and I would also prefer a newer engine as there are lots around cheap and should be more reliable.
Another question, do all zetec's have the same wiring/connectors?
Could I use a newer engine but try to find a ecu/loom from a car without pats?

And when I find a donor, pats or no pats. How hard is it to remove the loom?
I've heard it can be a bit of a nightmare.
