![]() Thanks buddy, yeah the bearings are the correct width etc and the outer races are pressed hard up in position. It's the inner tapered race that just simply falls in place and 'wiggles' a bit. I will press the dust covers a bit further in thanks for the prompt.
Hopefully once all tightened up there is no movement (except from the required rotation of course)

![]() There is a seat on the inside of the taper races that tightens together and that will give you the pre-load on the bearings.
