I too have had an issue with the bottom ball joints, they were cheap from rally design but the car has not moved an inch and they have both cracked! If anyone does source some new boots and can let me know on the quality and where they source them I would be grateful as obviously I will need to replace them. The other drag links I bought from local motor store are fine.

![]() I have that problem, too. My plan is to take them to a place that specializes in rebuilding ball joints, they should have fresher rubber of the right size.
My guess is all the Austin Maxi ball joints have been made at least three decades ago, that's why the boots are crumbling from just looking at them.
